Hi,

In WP12, is it possible to total a row, leaving it blank if the total is zero?

I get 0.00 as a total as it now stands. Can it be done also in QP12?

(This is being used in a monthly "tally" sheet with 30 "Day" rows.)

TIA,

A. E. Newman

In WP

  • Try using a conditional statement in the form +IF(SUM(A1:A30)=0,'',SUM(A1:A30))
  • If the sum of the preceding 30 rows is zero, it will enter an empty string otherwise it will enter the sum
  • Enter in the left hand column and copy with the [Copy Formula] button on the Formula Toolbar

In QP

  • Select Format > Sheet Properties
  • Select Display Tab
  • Click No in Display Zeros area
  • Click OK

David,

I went nuts with it until I made it two single quotes instead of a double quote between the two commas. WHEW!! Ha-ha.

Thank you VERY much. It is deeply appreciated.

Charlie

PS. I'm doing the books for our small country church and learning QP12 in the process by "backing it up" in that program.
