What you did not say is whether this happens in a new, blank document into which you start an outline, or whether it happens in an existing document that already has text in in. In Thunderbird: I can click File, Get Next 500 Messages. Perhaps something similar in SeaMonkey will work.

I have Comcast as my Internet provider, and the same settings as Heather (above) in Thunderbird 17.0.5. I can log into the Corel newsgroups using Server Name: cnews.corel.com without any problems. But my Outgoing Server in Thunderbird is set to smtp.googlemail.com (my default, since I use GMail). Perhaps that makes a difference.
