Quattro Pro cell gridlines

I don't see a gray area.
I do see a square made of 4 squares as in your previous post.
That offers line drawing.

Of course there is a blank area around the toolbars. A Rclick there sees a dropdown offering toolbar choices.

I placed an image for you so you can see.  The gray area is the empty space by each toolbar with nothing there.

Line drawing is the same thing as setting the borders around the cells and spreadsheet.  It is the similar way done in Excel to put lines around the cell.

Again, the site fails to upload the file - actually, it shows the file uploaded, but a [Refresh] shows it removed; and attempting to upload a link sees the message:
The file or URL is not allowed to be inserted.

Well - it did once; a later try did nothing.

Most likely it is the same of your image or next time save it as a file to upload.  that tends to work.

The image you have is the same place i am looking and that is used to paint grids within cells and spreadsheet.

Next time, try to save the image to your local hard drive and do a file upload.  That is why i have been successful on putting images on the responses.

On hiding cell grid lines, i am not sure how often you are using spreadsheets but if you highlight the spreadsheet or section and click the first image on line drawing, that clears the borders around the area.  Try it and you can see that it works similar as in Excel.  This is pretty standard way of painting the borders in a spreadsheet.

That is what failed. In the past, it has succeeded.
