As of 6/1/2018, date formats in Quattro Pro X7 no longer work properly. When I type 02/01/2018, I no longer get 02/01/18. Instead, I get 12/30/99. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?
It works for me. I get the text version but the cell recognizes the content as a date. Is your computer clock accurate?
Thanks for your reply, Dan.
After encountering the problem, I set my computer clock to an earlier day to test. Same problem. I reset the computer clock. Same problem.
I am currently using a work-around by typing '2/1/18 to get 2/1/18. This works whether the cell format is set to text or date. However, if I have the alignment set to Right, the alignment changes to Left when I type the date in this way.
If you see 12/30/99 then the value of whatever you have entered into the Cell is zero. A forward slash between digits works fine.
12/30/99 appears as a Long Date Intl whether I type in 3/15/2018 , 05/27/2018 , 12/15/1976 , 12/30/2099 , or 12/30/1899 . If the Numeric Format is set to General, these same entries appear as 9.9E-05 , 9.2E-05 , 0.000405 , 0.000191 , and 0.000211 respectively. This is a new phenomenon. Until June 1, 2018, everything worked as expected when I typed in dates. I hadn't used Quattro Pro X7 for about a month before that, however. This is happening on the same Windows 7 computer I've used for several years.
