Using WP X6 I cannot insert jpg images (or any other kind). I get the "conversion in progress"" message but nothing happens. Any help appreciated.
In such puzzling circumstances, it is always worth trying a Repair of the program. Ask for a HowTo if you need to.
I have found a link to a possibly helpful thread at WPUniverse - but that site is down until at least Friday for an update.
It may depend on what you mean by "nothing".
If you do not see the expected graphic but you do see five or eight small black squares. then View>Graphics should fix it.
HaD TO BUY x9...x6 NOT COMPATIBLE WITH Win 10 (1909)
Whatever caused your problem, it was not any incompatibility of WPX6 with Win10.
That combination works here like a champ.
You're probably right....then again no one seemed to have an answer!
It is rare but not unknown for a PC glitch to cause big problems to WP and, indeed, other programs. Some years ago, that happened to my Presentations. I never sorted that issue. My WPX9 is now similarly affected. The only workaround I found, for both malfunctions, was to create another user and install the program as that user. That is very inconvenient, but it works, and it shows that a glitch had indeed affected either the files or the registry data related to the user.
Does this happen if you try to insert a *.jpg into a new, empty WP document?
